Research processes can be harmful to your health
In pharmaceutical and research laboratories, different liquids and gases are often used which can be harmful and explosive due to evaporation and chemical reactions. This is the reason why some of Denmark’s largest pharmaceutical companies have installed GEOPAL® gas detectors to minimize safety risks for their employees.
Many research processes also require rapid cooling and freezing. Liquid nitrogen is typically used to displace oxygen in the inhalation air and affect our judgment. Among other things European Sperm Bank uses large tanks of nitrogen for the preservation and storage of sperm where GEOPAL® oxygen detectors warn employees if oxygen levels are too low. Working with liquid nitrogen is always risky, therefore safety is a high priority.
