MODBUS is a communication protocol that makes it easy to integrate and maintain multiple devices on the same network.
How does it work in practice?
At one of our customers with a parking garage, we have installed 96 gas detectors which detect carbon monoxide and petrol vapours. Each detector measures the gas level continuously and gives feedback via MODBUS. With MODBUS, it is thus possible for our service technicians to check the status and see any error messages, as they can only check one place instead of checking all 96 detectors manually. In this way, our service technicians can solve tasks much more efficiently.
