We are proud to have sponsored class M6C from Maskinmesterskolen Copenhagen for their study trip to Barcelona. The school specializes in management, operation and optimization of energy systems and technical facilities.

In Barcelona, the class had the opportunity to visit relevant companies to gain practical experience and contextualize the theories they learn in their daily studies. In their report, they highlighted two key company visits:

Ascó Nuclear Power Plant
“Through an informative presentation, we gained insight into the technical aspects of the facility and its role in Spanish energy production. Despite limited access to the facility itself, our understanding of the complexity of nuclear power increased, and we gained valuable insights into both its advantages and disadvantages as an energy source.”

Estrella Damm Brewery
“We followed the beer’s journey from barley and rice fields to fermentation tanks and the bottling plant. The detailed review of the production process and the emphasis on 100% natural ingredients provided a new perspective on our knowledge of beer. We also gained insight into the fully automated production process, which fascinated most people. Additionally, we had the privilege of tasting the beers.”

The trip seamlessly combined professional insights, industrial company visits, and social activities, creating an educational and enjoyable experience. It seems like a highly educational and enjoyable journey! And who knows, maybe they’ve returned with a newfound passion for gas detection – the real “fuel” for their future success!

Keep an eye out for these future ‘maskinmestre’ (Bachelor of Technology Management and Marine Engineering); we are confident there will be great demand for their skills!
