One of our dedicated service technicians shared a real-life example from the app, showcasing its power in action. At one of our customer sites in the aviation industry, there was a minor spill of jet fuel, without getting an alarm from gas detector GP-NOVA. Jet fuel can be challenging to detect due to its high flash point, which can vary from 25-70°C depending on the type of fuel, such as Jet A-1, JP-5, JP-8, AN-8, and so on. Due to the absence of an alarm, our service technician was called to the site.
Thanks to our app and its log function, it was possible to determine that the leak had indeed been detected, but the concentration had only reached 6% LEL, whereas the alarm had been set at 10% LEL. Based on this information, the alarm level was adjusted to 5% LEL using the app.
