What a view!

What a beautiful view!

Our skilled service technician Sebastian is enjoying the view over Copenhagen. He has just carried out the annual inspection of the AGA system at one of our customers. Among other things, Sebastian has calibrated and tested gas detector GJ-C, which in this case detects for R-1234ze. R-1234ze is a flammable refrigerant, and that is precisely why our customer needs gas detection.

The gas detectors continuously monitor any gas emissions and alert at reached limit values. Then signals are sent to the control room, after which the refrigeration system automatically shuts down and alerts the employees, while the level of leakage is still low with minimal risks as a result.
The gas detector is located at floor level, as R-1234ze is a heavy gas. Heavy gases will settle as a “duvet” at the floor, and therefore the detectors are placed at floor level. The vast majority of gases are heavier than air, ie. their molecular weight is> 28.96 g / mol and they will therefore drop and settle at floor level.

When working with refrigerant, gas detection is necessary, and in addition to the location of the gas detector, there are other specific requirements and regulations that you should be aware of. That is why it is essential to have a professional service partner who can advise you and your company, so that you and your employees can work safely and securely every single day.
