Pipes and ducts can often transport hazardous gases undetected until it’s too late. Therefore, it’s crucial to monitor these pathways that can quickly carry dangerous gases from one location to another.

At Geopal, we specialize in providing reliable and safe gas detection solutions for both classified and unclassified areas. We offer a range of detectors designed for installation on ducts and ventilation pipes, ensuring they meet high safety standards with flexible mounting options to suit various needs.

Our detectors for pipe and duct installation are available as stand-alone units or can be connected to an alarm control panel or amplifier module (GP-AMP) with alarm levels tailored to the specific gas type. The detectors can be equipped with various sensors, including Semiconductor, Catalytic, Electrochemical, IR, MPS, and PID.

We provide several installation options, such as:

• Sensor tube for installation in ventilation ducts (drawing no. EW80701 – see datasheet).
• Stainless steel adapter with ½” thread for pipe mounting (drawing no. EW80700 – see datasheet).
• Bypass installation, where the detector is mounted on a bypass through which a small part of the flow is directed. This is typically used on Geopal EX detectors.
• Dairy coupling with nut. Only supplied for Geopal EX detectors.

Reliable monitoring and alarm functions

These detectors offer continuous measurement of gas concentrations in the range of 0-40,000 ppm or 0-100% LEL. The sensor signal is converted to a linear output signal (4-20 mA or 0-5V/0-10V), with alarm relays for low alarm, high alarm, and system fault.

Gas detectors for connection to alarm control panels

The gas detectors that are not stand-alone can be connected to various control panels with alarm levels adapted to the gases and vapors to be detected. As an alternative to a control panel, detectors can be connected to an amplifier module like the GP-AMP.

When placing an order, it should be specified whether the detectors should be supplied with a sensor tube for installation in ventilation ducts (drawing no. EW80701) or a stainless steel adapter with ½” thread for pipe mounting (drawing no. EW80700).

GJ-EX-V

The GJ-EX-V gas detector is an explosionproof detector intended for use in Zone 1. Gas detector type GJ-EX-V can be equipped with different sensors depending on the gases/vapors to be detected.
Optionally, it can be supplied with a mounting plate, complete with gaskets and screws.

GP-NOVA-V

The GP-NOVA-V gas detector is an explosionproof stand-alone detector for use in Zone 1. Gas detector type GP-NOVA-V can be equipped with different sensors depending on the gases/vapors to be detected.
Optionally, it can be supplied with a mounting plate, complete with gaskets and screws.

GJ-C-V, GP-SA-V, GP-ELK-V, etc.
