Toxic Oxidising

The most common NOx compounds are nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and nitrogen oxide (NO). NOx is primarily formed as a result of combustion processes where nitrogen from the atmosphere reacts with oxygen under high temperatures and pressures.

This gas can occur, for example, in parking garages and tunnels due to vehicle emissions. It can cause respiratory issues, headaches, eye irritation, and chronic reduction in lung function. Therefore, safety requirements for handling NOx should comply with industry standards and guidelines to prevent personal injury.
