Expansion of Technical Department and Service Department
We expanded our technical department with two engineers, Gustav and Nicolai. They have been contributing with their explosive ideas and solutions to the development of our products. Among other things, they have developed a new Bluetooth module that can be connected to our gas detectors and it is specially designed to facilitate the work of our service technicians when calibrating and reading data from gas detectors located in difficult or hard-to-reach places.
“With the Bluetooth module, our service technicians can use their mobile device to easily connect to the gas detector and access the gas detectors’ settings and data in real time.”
Additionally, in collaboration with the R&D and Production Team, they have pioneered a new line of electrochemical sensors, including a cutting-edge oxygen sensor with three legs. With a lifespan exceeding 60 months, this sensor boasts easy installation and replacement. Gustav and Nicolai also took the initiative to get a 3D printer, and now we can print all our gas detectors in just a few minutes! No, not really, however we have started to print our own jet wash protection covers with the Geopal logo!
These covers are designed to protect the gas detectors’ sensors from water and ensure reliable performance even in adverse weather conditions. The 3D printer also significantly aids in product development by streamlining the testing of new product concepts and adjustments. Our Production Team and Technical Department can quickly and easily transform their innovative ideas into tangible prototypes, fostering a seamless testing process. This has not only accelerated the pace of innovation but also optimized the overall production flow, ensuring efficiency and precision in our development endeavors. In addition to enhancing our products and flow, their youthful and energetic spirit has added a positive vibe to our team, making every day more enjoyable!
This year marked a significant expansion in both our East and West service teams, welcoming two skilled service technicians to each department. Bo and Michael seamlessly integrated into our East department, bringing not just their technical skills but a fantastic energy that has already become an integral part of our work culture. It’s impressive how, in just a few months, their presence feels like they’ve been a part of the Geopal family for a lot longer! In December, Jan and Michael joined our West department. Their expertise is already making an impact, and we’re excited to have them on board and we look forward to getting to know them even better!
Four exhibitions in Denmark and Germany
Following that, Christian presented on gas detection at the Functional Safety event, showcasing our SIL2 approved GP-NOVA, meeting extreme functional reliability and stability requirements.
Henrik attended the annual meeting at STF, focusing on wastewater. Given the risk of toxic and explosive gas leakage at wastewater treatment plants, gas detection for methane, hydrogen sulfide, and benzene is crucial to prevent injuries and incidents for employees. Henrik presented our portable gas detectors with a built-in man-down function, ensuring maximum safety for lone workers.
Lastly, Christian and Malthe traveled to Düsseldorf, Germany, for the largest safety event of the year, A+A to discuss gas detection and workplace safety.
“Dedicated to workplace safety, security, and health, the A+A Fair was a must-attend for us, and, of course, we brought the GP-NOVA!”
Engaging with industry experts and professionals and presenting our GP-NOVA at this esteemed event held immense significance for us. We eagerly anticipate A+A in 2025!
It’s not all hard work – fortunately! We also had time for social activities. One of the highlights was a unique and wonderful dining experience underground in an old war bunker, complete with wine and cocktails. We also engaged in an exciting game of laser tag and participated in DHL, running, cheering, and celebrating team spirit! This has become a recurring event, so we look forward to more team spirit in 2024!
Prognose for 2024
As we previously announced this year, Geopal will be moving from Vedbæk to Farum in 2024.
In 2002, we moved to our current office in Vedbæk, and for 20 years we have been developing and manufacturing gas alarm systems in this very office. As we are close to being almost 30 employees, we have outgrown
our office, and we look forward to the extra space and new memories.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new office in 2024.
In addition to the excitement of moving into a new office, there’s another thrilling update for 2024: Geopal is getting a fresh, new website! It’s been a long time coming, and we’re currently immersed in the creative process, crafting a new design and incorporating exciting features. We can’t wait to unveil the final result.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for being a valued part of the Geopal community. Your continued support means the world to us, and we look forward to sharing more incredible moments together in the coming years. Whether it’s through our digital space or face-to-face interactions, we hope to connect with you throughout the year.
Wishing you a joyful and safe entry into 2024!
