One would almost think it was a character from Star Wars with its robot-like look and name, but in reality it is a robot fighter against ammonia that our production has built specifically for our Norwegian customer. Our customer is an industrial refrigeration company, which develops cooling solutions for the fishing industry, where, among other things, ammonia (NH3) is used as a refrigerant.
When the refrigerant is NH3, there may be a risk of toxic gases as well as the risk of explosion, and therefore gas monitoring is required. GJD-L3C is used when only one measuring point is required, ie. one gas detector. In this case, two measuring points are required, and therefore our production has connected two gas detectors.
The present level of gas concentration is shown on a display on the monitor, and the monitor is designed to receive and process the signal from the connected GJ-EX detectors, carry out necessary follow-up signal processing and set off warning and alarm, and in the event of any gas leaks, the gas detection must be designed to shut down the system or process, and / or employees must be warned immediately.
GJ-EX is an explosion-proof detector and together with the alarm monitor GJD-L3C it creates a safe and secure working environment for our Norwegian customer.
