Gas detection and personal safety in one device
Blackline Safety G8 is a portable gas detector for professional working environments where gas risks, lone working and fast response are an important part of safety. G8 combines gas detection with location, communication and real-time data, giving the company a better opportunity to respond quickly in the event of a gas alarm or another critical incident.
Designed for easier day-to-day use
Blackline Safety G8 is designed with practical field use in mind. The device features a larger display, clearer operation, a dedicated Push-to-Talk button and a quick-access flashlight, making it easier for workers to read, operate and communicate through the device in demanding working environments.
With TagAssign, a G8 device can be more easily assigned to the right worker. This is especially relevant for companies where several workers share equipment, or where devices change user from day to day.
Depending on setup and service plan, G8 can also be used with Blackline Live features such as ZoneAware, allowing the company to work with geofencing and gain a better overview of workers and devices in defined areas.
Flexible solution for different tasks
G8 can be configured as a single-gas or multi-gas detector and can measure up to 5 gases simultaneously depending on the selected sensor and cartridge configuration. With replaceable gas cartridges, the device can be adapted to different work tasks and gas risks.
G8 can also be supplied with a pump module, which may be relevant for example for pre-entry measurements, where the atmosphere needs to be checked before an employee enters an area.
Real-time alerts, location and communication
Blackline Safety G8 can support personal safety through functions such as SOS alert, fall detection, no-motion alert and missed check-ins. At the same time, the device can send real-time data to Blackline Live, so alarms, gas measurements and incidents can be monitored and handled more effectively.
Depending on the selected setup and service plan, G8 can also support communication via Emergency Voice, Push-to-Talk and text messages. This can be an advantage in working environments where employees work alone, in the field or across larger areas.
For day-to-day operation and documentation
With data transfer to Blackline Live, G8 can contribute to a better overview of gas alarms, incidents, use and maintenance. This makes it relevant for companies that want a more structured approach to safety, documentation and operation of portable gas detectors.
