At the distillery there are three GJ-EX explosion-proof gas detectors that detect ethanol. Ethanol is the term for pure alcohol or spirits and is highly flammable, which is why gas detection is necessary. The gas detectors are placed on the wall near the floor behind the large tanks, so they weren’t quite easy to access, and that’s why Sebastian had to suck his stomach in and squeeze through so he could change the sensors. Fortunately, it was easy and painless!
Sebastian then changed the batteries on the GJ-03R alarm control panel, which is typically used where several measuring points are needed, i.e. three or more gas detectors. The task of the central unit is to receive and process the signal from the connected detectors, carry out the necessary signal processing and issue a gas warning and gas alarm.
Sebastian had also brought test gas to ensure that the gas detectors detect what they are supposed to and that they give an alarm at the desired concentration.
